Suite & Residence Absolute

This B&B is now called L'Attico, & is near L'Universita per stranieri & lots of good places to eat.The owners speak perfect english & are most helpful with any requests, including the printing of my boarding pass, without any fuss. Ulla (The Wise) is on hand to answer any questions & she supplies loads of fresh towels & bed linen & shampoo. The bathroom is spacious & has a decent shower. I was given 4 keys, the last one to turn on electricity & air conditioner. The building is very secure. I would have no hesitation in returning again.

The hotel is place in the city centre, close to everything (bars, seaside, restaurants, shopping) but still in a quite street. The rooms were clean and comfortable, while the price was ok. The host was very kind to explain how to move around and what to see. What to say, it was great choice for the stay

Arrived at suite and there was no reception, finally called number on wall,a voice said that they would be right over. Shown my room, how the shower worked, given some towels, and paid for my accommodation. Was then told that breakfast would be at a bar down the street. As I entered my room I looked around again and said to myself where is the kitchen? On my booking sheet on-line it stated that "Private kitchen offers a convenient way to prepare meals". This was one of the reasons I went with this place, I do not like to go out at night by myself for dinner in a strange city. I took a shower, only to find that shower fixture was rusty with corrosion, it also took a very long time to get any hot water. The toilet paper fixture was broken and needed to be repaired. It was nice to have a balcony until I saw the planter on the railing. It was filled with dirty cigarette butts and olive pits! The balcony floor looked like it was not washed. I went out in early evening only to return to a dark hallway and staircase. The owner had told me that the front door was always open, but entering a dark building was a little uncomfortable to say the least. I reached the second floor without any light finally found the door and able after a little time I was able to open it. The automate light did not go on until I got to my door. I took the bedspread off after noticing that it was stained, in addition the comforter had a small cigarette hole that released feathers all over. The bed kept separating because it was really two twins put together. I have stayed in many places around the world however, this place will never be given a second try or recommendation. It was a great disappointment from their ad I was expecting something special. I could have stayed at a much better hotel with a real breakfast, and real people to greet me at a lower price!
