Hotel Schuhmann

We are external guests, the parking is a great offer, We only come for the beach and restaurant and we love the food and service and the beach! Although, from the garage to go up to reception, this hotel needs some updates with their carpet and the old ambience furnitures like retro!! Anyway, what is good are the staffs and good food but a bit pricey!!

The hotel certainly has some positive aspects: clean, comfortable, and fairly high-tech rooms, even if the decor is a bit dated. The cuisine is good enough, even if the portions are rather small; the breakfast is decent, but not adequate for a 4-star hotel. As for the sea, personally I found it rather dull and not very impressive: it is certainly not the strong point of the location, at least for those looking for clear water and particularly beautiful colors. The decidedly negative note concerns the management of the beach instead. For an umbrella and sun loungers in the front row, a supplement of 20 euros per day is requested, not in the second row because it is included in the stay package. I do not dispute the choice to charge for an additional service, but I find it unfair that the website refers to the supplement without specifying the amount. And we are not talking about a symbolic figure: for one week it is 140 euros more, which the customer discovers only once they have arrived at the facility. When booking a vacation, one should be able to know the costs of the services offered in advance and make their own evaluations. The “with supplement” formula, without indicating how much, seems to me at the very least a questionable way of informing the customer. Too bad, because greater clarity would certainly have improved the overall judgment of the stay.

I had to leave the hotel in a hurry due to my wife's health problems. I am writing this review to thank all the staff who were always available. A special mention for the maitre d' who was always present and attentive to the guests' needs.
