Me.Fra Camere

Nice and central place 10 minutes from Amalfi and a few meters from the beach. Some stairs, like the whole area. Large room, refrigerator, TV, heating/air conditioning, comfortable beds and pillows. Full bathroom, soap, gel, dryer, towels. Common areas and panoramic terrace. All very clean. Very good and complete breakfast (sweet/savoury). Sonia is a fantastic and caring hostess who has made us feel at home.

Clean and comfy accommodation, run by a friendly and accommodating hostess, Sonia. A handy location to explore Amalfi, Ravello and surrounding areas. Easy access to Amalfi but a more local, traditional feel. Lovely local restaurants in Piazza Umberto, nearby.

For travellers who want to stay just outside the busy and bustling town of Amalfi this is a great place to stay. Sonia is a great host and very helpful. The breakfasts were served on the terrace and were very good with a great mountain range view. The rooms were spotlessly clean. There are about 50 manageable steps up to the accommodation. There is a small square with restaurants, bars and 2 small grocery shops and a fresh fish shop. There are also 2 small general shops selling souvenirs, ice creams etc. Me.Fra Camere is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would suggest for ease and comfort travelling with hand luggage would be best. However it is easy to walk from the ferry and bus terminus in Amalfi to Atrani as there is a pedestrian tunnel linking the two. It is well lit and safe. Personally we preferred the laidback pace of Atrani to that of Amalfi so after a busy day of sightseeing it was lovely to return to the peace and quiet. For the more energetic travellers you can walk from Atrani up to Ravello. There are a significant number of stairs to climb but my husband and I both felt it was well worth the effort.
