Hotel La Ninfa

We were guests of the hotel in the middle of August. Breathtaking view with windows in both the bathroom and the room from which it was possible to enjoy an exaggeratedly beautiful panorama, even while you are taking a shower. Rich breakfast in bed. Excellent location with a bus stop ten meters away, both in the direction of Amalfi, Cetara, Salerno and in the direction of Praiano and Positano. Smart TV in the room. Excellent quality-price ratio. Last but not least, Mrs. Anna, kind and professional in putting everything back in place.

Book here and you may not get the room you pay for. We reserved and paid extra for a superior ocean-view room. We were handed a windowless space with no ocean view and no privacy, its only door opening onto a shared jacuzzi terrace where strangers could see straight into our room. We kept that door closed the entire stay. It looked nothing like the listing. When I went to reception, I was told the photos on the listing are “generic for all rooms,” an outright admission that the pictures selling these rooms are not the rooms. Only after I produced proof of the exact room I paid for did they agree to move us, and only the following day, because everything else was full. We spent our first night in the worse room regardless. Out of two nights, we had the room we paid for on one. To me this looks like a hotel that overbooks and is not honest about it. At no point was a refund offered for the room we paid for but barely received. The “solutions” were a free dinner and free sun beds, consolation prizes instead of the thing we actually purchased. We said no. The room was also dirty on arrival, with laundry hanging across our terrace. If you stay here, get your exact room in writing, take screenshots, and be ready to argue for it at the front desk. Deeply disappointing and dishonest. Avoid.
