Hotel Savoia

I tend to book holidays at relatively short notice and travelling alone, it's always important to find a hotel that feels comfortable . I have always wanted to visit the Amalfi coast and came across Hotel Savoia . It's family run, informal with delightful ,friendly staff. My room was a single one, compact ( with no view) but extremely comfortable and super clean - fresh sheets and towels every day. Breakfast is a buffet with excellent coffee, choices of everything abd delicious home made pastries I ate dinner on a couple of occasions w was top quality - I loved the fact the kitchen was on view . One night I ate sea bass ( moist and delicious) and crown of lamb on the second- tender and succulent . Thank you , I hope to return !

Sorry but never again for 1,500 per night. Location - noise is a HUGE problem. Rooms - clean and updated BUT AGAIN ON THE MAIN ONE WAY STREET, TRAFFIC ALL NIGHT LONG. No coffee in rooms or near front desk. NO ROOM SERVICE. Have to wait for restaurant to open at 7:30 and you are welcomed by powdered eggs. No pool or workout area. I am sorry but they need to evolve to better offerings

Stay here if you don’t want to sleep!! 1077450719 Hotel Savoia looks charming. However, we had a terrible experience during stay!! First of all they did not give us the room we selected and paid for online. We did not even have a window as shown on the website. Hotel states rooms are soundproof. This is not true…..we heard conversations, cars and scooters all night long. We had the Juliette balcony doors closed. We had ants crawling all over the bathroom walls, floors and shower.
