I cannot fault this hotel it is just lovely. Like stepping back in time. Quiet, clean and attentive staff. The location is good you just cross over the road and down the steps is a lovely little beach with a couple of taverna’s perfect for lunch or a drink. The town Forio is a mile and an easy walk, lots of restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Citaro is in the opposite direction and has a handful of restaurants. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus. But the last trip back is about 6.45pm but the walk was good after all the food we had eaten. We hired a scooter €20 a day a small car is €30 but it is incredibly difficult to get parking here so we opted for a scooter. It was fine but the drivers here are slightly crazy 😂. The only thing I would say is at the time we visited the clientele was old (mostly over 70). So this isn’t a place for young people. On a positive note this made it beautiful and quiet.

The Hotel Providence stands on a promontory in Forio and enjoys a breathtaking view of the Citara bay. The hotel is managed magnificently by Mrs. Maria and others, who take special care of the little things and make the Providence a hotel property superior to the others. The cuisine, good and appetizing, uses local products and is a joy for the palate every day. The dining room staff is attentive and kind. A special round of applause also goes to the treatment department, where Gerardo and Erminia try to accommodate everyone with smiles and balancing acts.

Beautiful property, excellent welcome, absolute relaxation, extraordinary view, and good food. Experience to be repeated.
