Villa Lara

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Lara largely due to the location but found it very expensive for what it is but I guess that’s Amalfi in July for you ! We booked a so called triple room for x3 adults but the extra bed was very small and uncomfortable for an adult and is more suited for a child. The staff at the villa were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace overlooking the town.

I want to alert future travelers about the management of this establishment. Although the place is visually appealing and has few rooms, its customer service is far from that of a family boutique hotel. Below, I detail the critical issues I faced: * Total lack of communication: The hotel does not have an accessible phone number. All communication is limited to emails, making it impossible to resolve emergencies in real time. * Absolute lack of flexibility: In light of a human error in the reservation, I immediately reached out to seek a solution. The hotel flatly refused to cooperate, even rejecting mediation requests from Hotels.com staff. * Rejection of intermediate solutions: They did not accept a credit issued by the platform to mitigate the financial impact, resulting in a loss of nearly $850 without receiving the service. * Deceptive charging policies: Even though the app indicated "payment at the property," they made the first charge three weeks in advance. They charged the remaining balance immediately as soon as I began the process to resolve my situation, securing the money ahead of time. Seriously, if you do not want to have a bad experience, do not choose this hotel. Additionally, you will have to climb many stairs, even though they claim to have an elevator.

My family and I recently stayed here for four nights, and I’m really glad we chose this place. The location was excellent, and the views were beautiful. The staff provided great service, and the breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here!
