Montespina Park

Just arrived back from a 3 night stay here at this hotel. First impressions was a bit unsure, however once we settled in it wasn't that bad. The area that the hotel is situated in is a bit run down and not much around. But we were recommended a lovely Italian restaurant from the reception staff, about a 15 minute walk down the road, you also pass a very well equipped supermarket and a few pizza takeaway shops. Opposite the restaurant was also the train station that took you into Naples centre/ Port. You could buy the tickets from the machine or there was a ticket attendant, who didn't speak much english but together with Maps on the phone we managed to communicate. The hotel in some parts is slightly dated but the swimming pool was lovely and was a blessing in the hot weather when we returned in the afternoon. Our room was slightly dated but it was very clean and cleaned every day, it also had a stocked mini bar in the fridge. Air conditioning was free along with the safe in the room. As the hotel is situated up a hill, there is a elevator that takes you down to street level from the reception area which was a god send. Breakfast was basic but they made you fresh coffees however way you wanted them. There was always fresh fruit, meat, cheese, yoghurts, pastries, bread and croissants. We took boat trips to both Capri and Sorrento which was beautiful. Reception staff were very helpful and pleasent making you feel welcome. Overall would definitely return

This hotel is on the outskirts on Naples. About 15 minutes from city center. An older well kept property. The room layout is hard because the reception is on top. The rooms are below. You need to take one elevator to go up. And then go with your bags to another elevator to go down. Lots of walking and up and down stairs with your bags. The rooms are tiny but efficient. The water pressure is fair. The lunch food was excellent. The front desk staff is very nice.

We're currently staying at this hotel and are very happy. The standard double room is lovely, clean, modern and the shower is wonderful. Breakfast is good and replenished quickly. The evening meal is also lovely. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. We are upgrading to a superior room with jacuzzi purely for a couple of days of complete relaxation before we go home. We knew the pool would be empty before we came - it clearly mentions it on their website. I would come back again, but later in the season, just so I can use the pool as it looks good.
