Neapolis Hotel

First, the positives. Hotel Neapolis is centrally located in the Centro Storico (old town), and it was easy to walk around the center based on its location. The breakfast was good - a choice of coffee and several different types of pastries, prosciutto, and juices. The hotel was clean and the staff was polite - most of them spoke English. Now for the negatives. My room was the size of a breadbox. When I asked to move to a bigger room, I was told none were available. The shower was so small that I could barely move around enough to wash myself. The bed was barely bigger than me, and there was no real space in the room to move around comfortably. When I was there, I saw the "double" rooms that were advertised on booking,com, and they were easily 3 - 4 times the size of mine, and the beds were much bigger. My room did not match the picture on booking.com at all or my expectations, and I ended up spending as much time as possible out of the room. I made my reservation at this hotel based on the pictures that were provided on booking.com. Had I seen an accurate picture of the room I ended up in, I would not have stayed there.

I can only reaffirm my excellent review already given to this "gem" in the historic center of Naples... I have been returning for 16 years! Now there is an added value... The sweet Lisa, the queen of cappuccinos, is joined by the talented Susy who delights us every morning with her exquisite pastries! And many other delicacies worthy of the Neapolitan paradise. Very quiet and comfortable, modernized structure in the heart of the old city. Very convenient for visiting the monuments. Wonderful bed, good and varied breakfast.
