San Gennaro Bed

I could only stay one night as there were issues with the key not working not was locked out, had to get access back in remotely which was tricky due to poor, unreliable communication with the owner and very poor standard of room. There was a strong smell and mould in the bathroom - felt very unsafe - would not recommend. I had to book another place urgently. Had I not arrived in the evening I would not gave stayed the one night. A stressful start to the holiday.

Although we had communicated the arrival time and the manager had told us to open the door and door remotely, upon our arrival - despite numerous calls - we had to wait almost two hours before being able to enter the room. The manager did not even apologize and, moreover, since the remote opening did not work, after an hour and a half of waiting, we had to wait further before someone arrived to open us. The room was dirty: in the bed there was hair and stains not better identified and the toilets were filthy and rusty as in the picture. The manager was rude in every interaction we had with him and we were not allowed to leave our suitcases in the post checkout facility waiting for the train (first time it happens to me), thus forcing us to pay the luggage deposit. Bad experience.

The location is perfect, in the middle of old center, everything you want to visit is a few steps away. Rooms are big, clean and perfectly decorated with specific details of the area. I would choose again this place. Breakfast is ok, with packed snacks and coffee, tea and juices.
