Una Hotel Napoli

A wonderful hotel, with a spacious, comfortable, and clean room. The bed is large and you sleep very well, with a large closet. The bathroom is large, clean, and sufficient. The breakfast is wonderful. It has a wonderful terrace where you can have breakfast and a very good restaurant; we had dinner there several times. It is right in front of the subway stop, with line 1 that takes you everywhere. The cathedral is a 10-minute walk away and very close by you have dozens of pizzerias, so many. The staff is friendly, pleasant, and professional. A great hotel.

I stayed here for 7 nights as part of a work trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to Garibaldi Station, but is a bit of a walk from the historic centre. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionists spoke good English. The reception area is somewhat small, but it is air conditioned. The wifi worked well throughout, it was fine for watching videos but a bit slow for uploading photos. My room was on the 2nd floor. One of my complaints was that there weren't any obvious stairs to use, so I had to use the lift each time. My room was clean and a very good size, and the air conditioning worked well. It had a double bed which was comfortable, I sometimes find the beds can be hard in this part of the world. Despite the hotel being on a busy street, the windows did a very good job at blocking out the sound. There was a shutter with slats over the window which did make the room a bit dark during the daytime. On the inside there were more shutters which did a great job at keeping it dark during the night. The bathroom was a good size, with a bathtub that had a shower in it. I couldn't get the water to go cold, but maybe I wasn't doing something right. There were a few amenities you could request from reception, such as a dental kit. There was a hairdryer which also wouldn't blow cold air, only hot. On the first day there was a complimentary water bottle in the room, but not for the rest of my stay. There were also snacks laid out on the counter next to the water and kettle, I'm glad I asked reception as if I had eaten any of the snacks I would have had to pay for them. They should make this clearer. Also as a 4 start hotel I think they should be providing water everyday. There was a fountain to fill up a water bottle at breakfast, but not in the rest of the hotel. I had breakfast included, this was on the top floor with the option to dine on the rooftop terrace. The selection was pretty good, it wasn't huge but it was big enough. Mostly continental with some hot items such as eggs, bacon, etc. I wasn't bored of it after 7 days. There was a good emphasis on gluten free and dairy free (e.g. soya yogurts etc) items. It was possible to order some things a la carte as well. Overall my 7 night stay was very positive. If work had not paid for this I might have found it a bit pricey.

A super convenient place, right in the station square, very close to the subway, logistically perfect as a base for work or vacations. I have been there twice lately, for work. The rooms are nice, especially the first one, spacious and bright, the second one smaller, but still very comfortable. Comfortable bed, numerous outlets near the nightstands, water available. Clean bathroom, kit I would say... essential, for a 4-star hotel there could be something more, frankly. The idea of putting photos/paintings of the people who work at the hotel in the hotel is very nice. Very kind staff, I even got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes, but they were truly attentive and helped me immediately. The highlight is the terrace where it is possible to both eat and have breakfast... there is a beautiful view of Naples. The breakfast was good, lots of things, and then, just how I like it, there are local items: you can find pizza, babà, and sfogliatelle (curly and shortcrust, my favorite). The only sore point, but it does not concern the hotel nor its property, is... the "human" situation in front... filth, encampments, it is not possible that a municipality allows this kind of situation in the square that for many is the first contact with Naples.
