Known from friends' stories, the first stay at the Baia Hotel confirmed the wonderful reviews. In a spectacular location that combines the convenience of the center of Palinuro with a unique panorama that becomes magical at sunset, cleanliness, friendliness, and excellent quality of raw materials for the restaurant make the stay truly very pleasant. I stayed in this hotel with my husband and my daughter with the children for a weekend but calling it 4 stars is absurd! Let's start with the old and obsolete rooms with bathrooms that remind you of 50 years ago (both in our room and in my daughter's, the flush tank was falling to pieces), air conditioner that was dripping and not always working, very narrow shower with one of those cheapest stall-style showerheads with water coming out in drops, practically impossible to wash your hair, bathroom kit non-existent, only some cheap soap, the bed with only two completely flattened pillows (generally you find 4). To our complaints, we are told by the girl at the reception that there is a maintenance worker who comes to repair all the things that are not working (oh sure, while you are in the shower with the water coming out in drops, the maintenance worker comes for a moment to fix it, or you have to wait to flush the toilet because the plastic tank is broken) absurd! Let's move on to the restaurant service because unfortunately we chose to do half board. Terrible and poor quality food, we had asked for spaghetti with tomato sauce for the children but we were told that it could not be made, they brought us slices of meat for the kids that perhaps not even dogs would have eaten, between one course and the next, obviously without eating anything because it was terrible, a wait of more than half an hour and to top it off, even in the dining room without air conditioning because it wasn't working (we had a sauna)! Another thing never seen until now at breakfast, plastic cutlery and cups and practically almost nothing savory! The concept of 4 stars should be reviewed because it is truly neglected in everything! Absolutely not recommended!!!!!!

Excellent hotel, I had a great time. The location at the beginning of the center is good. Spacious and clean room, wonderful view of the pool, super relaxing to be on the small balcony in the evening with the sound of the water. Fantastic terrace to watch the sunset. Good breakfast, the breakfast staff are super kind, as is the rest of the staff. I absolutely recommend it.
