Hotel Terme Royal Palm

When I first entered the reception, I thought it was a joke, the super old look and the armchairs that look dirty, the smell tangled, disappointing for the first impression. Old rooms with many malfunctions. The first room received was one star, old, ugly furniture, very unwelcoming. Second big disappointment on the first night. I asked for another room, which, compared to the first one, was ok, but also this one with many malfunctions. I got to enjoy a mediocre room because it was better than the first one. Very good room cleaning. Well-maintained green spaces Impeccable waiters, many Romanians who make you feel good and sweeten the negative aspects. At the reception, the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, they, the restaurant and the cleaning people, are trying to compensate for the downsides of management through kindness and effort. I would not return to this hotel, I do not recommend it, the management seems to be just trying to cover the lack of interest in quality and investment, but it feels like an unprofessional rag and I say this honestly, with regret for how nice the people are at the restaurant, reception, transfer and cleaning.

Got robbed in the hotel last week and the employees have zero interest in helping me figure out who did it. It was either in my locked hotel room or in their luggage storage by the reception, but seeking help I’m only met with aggression by the staff, especially the hotel manager, who accuses me of lying, saying I can’t prove anything. I seriously don’t know what to do, like take a picture of my empty jewelry box?? I have no hope of getting my jewelry back, but it amazes me that they don’t even care that a guest was robbed in their hotel. If it was stolen from my room, somebody accessed my room with a key, as there was no sign of breaking and entering, and then emptied my jewelry box and but it back in my bag only for me to discover upon packing my stuff and leaving the hotel. In this case the only other people than me and my friend are the cleaning staff, who came to our room every day. If it was stolen from the luggage storage, they literally have a surveillance camera, but claim they can’t check it for me, so I’m just left with nothing. I will never in my life recommend this hotel to anybody who value their belongings or wishes for some basic help or friendliness from their hotel staff.

The Royal Palm Terme Hotel completely won us over. The perfect location with the garden-side view of the sea and the surrounding area, the friendly staff, the good and varied food, the spacious and clean room, the versatile swimming opportunities at the hotel and in the nearby area, as well as the good connection to public transport (buses) left practically nothing to be desired! Of the various hotels and guesthouses that we have already visited on Ischia, we liked it best here because the "overall package" was simply right.
