The food at the buffet is terrible, very expensive drinks and lunch menu.

Hotel is very dated needs attention breakfast is ok but evening meals are shocking. Dry food, cold , flies all over the fruit We booked half board 7 nights and only attempted 2 meals in the restaurant . . We came down every night to see if was getting any better but just kept on walking straight out. Luckily found nice edible restaurants nearby to eat which doubled our stay in price as already paid for half board. spoke to the manager and when our rep eventually turned up at our hotel she told us spoken to manager and to which she say they haven’t responded to our complaint. Wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole.

Very disappointing for a 4-star hotel I’m afraid I wouldn’t rate this hotel as 4-star — in my opinion, it wouldn’t even reach 3-star standard and that is being generous! We stayed for 7 days (August 14th-21st)on a half-board basis, but unfortunately the food was one of the biggest disappointments. The food was often cold, congealed and unappetising, and the fruit was left uncovered with flies hovering around it. We ended up having to eat out in the evenings, which was an additional expense we hadn’t expected. The hotel itself is very tired and the rooms are in desperate need of updating. (Photos online are very, very misleading ) On two days during our stay there were no pool towels available because the laundry hadn’t arrived until the afternoon. Drinks around the pool were also extremely expensive, and we were told we couldn’t drink our own water around the pool. The attitude of some staff was not particularly friendly when we weren’t purchasing their drinks, which made the experience even less enjoyable. There were, however, some positives. The outlook over the sea was beautiful, and we enjoyed fantastic sunsets every evening. The restaurants either side of the hotel and directly below were excellent, reasonably priced and much more enjoyable than the hotel food. Sorrento itself is stunning, as are the surrounding islands, and there is plenty to enjoy in the area. Sadly, despite the beautiful location and sunsets, the hotel itself was a major disappointment and we would not stay here again
