Personally, it would be "excellent" but I wrote only "very good" because maybe others don't like the very small bathroom and the creaky antique floor in the bedroom. For me, they add charm to the fairy-tale experience of living in a real ancient palace, with high ceilings, stone floors (except the noisy one in the bedroom, and you are afraid to wake everybody if you move around in the night), monumental staircase, forged iron gates etc. Everything is clean and neat, abundant organic breakfast, the friendly hosts give you information about interesting things to see and do. No street noise (windows to inner courtyard). Central location in the heart of old town and University. Twenty minutes walk from the railway station. If you have luggage, ask which bus to take! There are several possibilities.

I can recommend La Cigliegia! Very friendly and very central and all important places nearby. Excellent breakfast and good service. I loved the room and felt like in an medieval palace. Everything you need for a nice holiday, I hope to return😎 Brigitte

I had a very pleasant stay at this cozy place in the city center. Had a warm welcome and nice breakfast. Also on arrival I got a map of Bologna and some helpful tips like where to get cheap pizza and what to see in the city :) At night it was quiet, at least I haven't had any trouble sleeping. So I definitely recommend this place!
