Hotel Giardinetto

We stayed at this property on August 30th. Usually check-out is by 11:00 AM; we needed to keep the room until 5:00 PM (having an appointment at the nearby hospital in the afternoon). At the front desk, I had to pay for an entire extra day for just six extra hours. But it is what it is. Room The window in the double room was almost "blind": it looked directly out onto an internal courtyard where a small table and two chairs were placed. Consequently, opening the curtain meant completely giving up our privacy, leaving us with the unpleasant feeling of being shut in a box. Nearby activities I believe the main strength of this property is its proximity to the hospital. However, walking along the main road, I noticed other hotel properties with more classic architecture that, at first glance, seemed to offer significantly superior comfort. Safety We arrived late in the evening, at 11:30 PM. At that hour the reception was already closed, but we found the security staff. We had no problem picking up the room keys by following the instructions provided previously. Walkability The property is not very central, but the city center is easily reachable using public transport. Eating and drinking The breakfast was decidedly poor and far from the standards one is used to in Italy: canned fruit, a few fresh apples, pre-made toast, yogurt, croissants, and hot drinks from an automatic machine. Even the presentation on the buffet was not at all inviting: the cold cuts appeared visibly dried out. Important details A little kindness (and a smile, even a forced one, because we all have problems) would not hurt on the lips of those who, for work, have the task of serving and welcoming customers in a hotel facility. On the morning of August 31, 2026 (an important time reference so that whoever reads this can identify with it), we went to the area used for breakfast; few tables were already set, but they were positioned right in the direction of the air conditioning split unit; to avoid being hit directly, we wanted to occupy a table that was a bit more sheltered; however, it needed to be set: two cups, cutlery, and napkins, that was all. The attendant, without even looking us in the eyes, and with a voice muffled by the noise of the dishes she was washing, ordered us: “at the tables already set!”. Politely, I accepted the order and chose a seat where the air hit less: it was not the day to argue, given that a nice visit to the hospital awaited me in the afternoon. But certainly, I would not have lacked the words and arguments to silence her. An unexciting experience that I will not repeat.

Stayed a few nights with friends. Since the room nn satisfied me because of noises from the outside, I asked if we could change rooms, and the receptionist, very kind and friendly, did his best to move us to another room. Thank you again!
