This hotel looks impressive. It is a large building with huge gardens, parking lot, 2 swimming pools.... When we got there we parked our car in the shaded parking lot (bonus point!). The receptionist was friendly and she told us about the facilities and breakfast times, before giving us the key to our room on the first floor. The room was old fashioed but looked good, clean, fresh and stylish. The airco was not working, It gave a message that it was turned off and could not be turned on. When we told the recepionist about this she said that they can only switch it on from the reception, and promised to do so immediately. We used the fitness room which was well equipped, but very warm (in the basement, but sadly no airco). By the time we came back from dinner the airco in our room was still not working, and could not be turned on from the room, it gave the same message The following morning we told the receptionnist about this and she told us she would fix it. Sure enough, when we got back to the room after breakfast, it seemed to make a sound and it gave a different message! When we got back after a day of sightseeing the temperature in our room was still 27,2 degrees. So we told the receptionist and went out for dinner. The following morning we packed our bags and left, the room temperature being 27 degrees......
Breakfast was typical Italian, which is OK. The large pool was nice and clean, a bit cold but still nice. The other pool was very small and a bit dirty, so no-one will be tempted to use it. It was small but deep and in the shade most of the day. Not a pool for children. Beds and shower were fine. The staff were friendly and helpful, but they had no control over the airco. They obviously tried their best. I read in a review from juni 2017 that the airco was not working then either, so I would no recommend staying here in July of August. I als noticed that there are many reviews in Italian, but very few in English so I felt like sharing my recent experience in English.

Mordano is located about eleven kilometres from Imola. At the far end of Mordano, tucked away on a corner, you will find Ville Panazza.
The gardens are a celebration of tranquility. They are meticulously cared for and ideal if you need to recuperate from a busy or stressful time in your life.
There are two pools, big enough to swim in, small enough to look pretty in this idyllic, rural setting.
The restaurant is facing the pool, and offers first class Italian cuisine with friendly staff, especially a gentleman called Mimmo.
The breakfast is held in the dining room and provides standard Italian breakfast. Importantly, the coffee machine works well, cornetti are fresh, as are the ham, cheese and rolls. Once again, staff are pleasant and helpful.
However...
The hotel hides behind a facade of history. It is a tired and dreary facade. The decor would look ten times better if they would try fresh paint and strip the sadly dated wallpaper.
The air-conditioning in the bedrooms is woefully inadequate. We mentioned this as we were checking out and we're advised that the local laws did not permit them to turn on the air-conditioning until the 15th June: really???!!! Would that be some kind of unenforceable, extreme way of saving the planet, or just suffocating the guests? Nonsense!
I save my last comment for the night watchman. We arrived exhausted, at around two o'clock in the morning. We were greeted by a mono--syllabic grumpy gentleman who said, 'Passports', 'Lift' and 'Stairs', and omitted to say 'hello', 'hope you enjoy your stay' or anything else. I also had another occasion during our stay to encounter this man - same thing, just rude.
We slept well on very comfortable beds. A huge overhaul of the decor and an updating of the air-con and a review of the night staff, would bring this hotel from average to excellent.

Good clean and comfortable hotel.
Very friendly and willing to help stuff.
The breakfast is good, the area is nice and quiet. I slept in this hotel many times in every season. The summer is very hot in this area and the air conditioning is very important in my opinion, in the main building it is usually good but last time it didn't work. I suggest guest to call or main and ask before booking in the summer.
