Great 4-star hotel in the center of Parma

A hotel in the center of Parma near the Pilotta. Very welcoming. A note of praise goes to Raffaele, the night porter, who welcomes you with his humanity, sensitivity, and knowledge. Offering you warmth even on gloomy evenings like those that occurred. Rich breakfast. Extremely comfortable beds. Spacious areas. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Parma.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we were VERY disappointed! It was the same category room that we previously had, which was satisfactory on that visit. The room had no outlets for us to plug into. We finally resorted to unplugging the television to have an outlet that was accessible. We had to move a bedside table to use that outlet to plug the water kettle into to have coffee - have no idea where they expected anyone to plug that in! Don't believe the photos you see on the website of the "double standard" room; our room had 1 chair at the desk with no other place to sit other than the bed. For a 4 star hotel we couldn't believe we could not get any ice before 5PM and the 2nd night the machine was broken and we were told we might walk up the street to a cafe and they would give us some. This is ridiculous and unacceptable! Needless to say, they will not be seeing us again
