Hotel Emilia

The location is excellent and the room was clean, but unfortunately everything else is definitely in need of review. The worst thing was definitely the situation in the dining room, where lunch and dinner were regularly served. The tables were practically attached to one another and there was not enough space to move. When we arrived in the dining room, it initially seemed that the air conditioning was working, but shortly after, the windows were opened and a truly unbearable heat began. Everyone was sweaty and trying to endure it by using fans or anything else to find a little relief during that hour at the table. It should also be noted that meal times were strict: lunch 12:30-1:30 PM and dinner from 7:15 PM to 8:30 PM; at 8:25 PM they already started turning off the lights, clearly making it understood that it was time to get up. I would say that, especially on vacation, a situation like this is really unpleasant. The exact same situation also occurred at lunch. Even more unpleasant was the attitude of Mr. Roberto, the owner, who seemed completely uninterested in the problem. In fact, among the various unpleasant remarks, we were even told: “You should pay me, since you are getting a free sauna.” Even the small vegetable and appetizer buffet was a real nightmare: a line formed that reached out the door, because the space was absolutely insufficient. Paradoxically, while we were all crowded in line, Mr. Roberto scolded us because he had to pass through to serve the dishes. A surreal situation: there was no space for people, there was no organization, and in the end, it seemed like we were the problem. To all this is added a general feeling of disorder and lack of care for the common areas. An example that particularly struck us was the women's restroom near the lobby, which looked more like a storage room than a restroom: there were shoes thrown about and various objects piled up everywhere. Personally, I had never seen a situation like this in an accommodation facility. Too bad,... I sincerely hope that the owners take these observations as an opportunity to listen to their guests, improve the organization and care of the facility, and, above all, learn to manage a hotel by putting the comfort and needs of the customers at the center.

The hotel is cute, classic for Romagna, it is beachfront; you cross the street and you are at the beach. Rooms a bit dated but nice, with a small balcony, spacious bathroom, and comfortable mattresses. The food is good and well-cooked... the negative notes that made us give 2 stars are the dinner time at 7:15 PM... one evening we arrived at 7:45 PM and they immediately told us that it is not possible otherwise they cannot manage (by 8:15 PM we were already leaving the dining room)... the second negative thing, certainly the one that bothered us the most, is the “rudeness” of Mr. ROBERTO, I believe his name is, who works in the dining room and moves cars; I believe he is the husband or partner of the young woman who manages everything. Never a smile, never a good morning, it almost seemed like he was doing you a favor by hosting you, and not that you, the customer, were there. In the dining room, it's a constant saying: excuse me, move over, children sit down, and I assure you that there wasn't all that chaos, quite the contrary. He even checks the space between the tables to see if he can pass with the plates, but one with chairs can't exactly go under the table and eat hanging. One evening we stayed a moment longer at dinner (it must have been 8:30 PM) and he started saying, "the mass is ended, go in peace," a cute way of saying get out of here. To some customers who left and told him we'll see you next year, as soon as they left the hotel he said, "let's hope not." Air conditioning in the dining room, it's unclear if it's off or if they turn it off to open the windows... the fact is that you die of heat with about ten people with fans or small portable fans. In conclusion, we did not find the Romagna hospitality that we have always found over the years, a real shame because overall it's not bad, but we certainly won't return to avoid being a "bother."

couple's trip: we spent a weekend at this hotel with full board and everything was excellent. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner offer a rich and varied buffet, with homemade products, and an equally well-curated choice of meals, with the possibility of choosing fish or meat. Very cute room, perhaps the only small flaw is the bathroom, with a shower that is a bit small and a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise everything is good overall. Very helpful staff and top-notch welcome. We had such a good time that we decided to book for August. Recommended.
