Hotel La Coccinella

I stayed at this hotel for three days and I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and bathroom and the varied and abundant breakfast. The only "flaw" is the pool, which is small and located at the hotel entrance, where the privacy of those in the water or on a lounge chair is not guaranteed, as there is no decorative element that prevents those entering or leaving the hotel from seeing who is in the pool. Excellent location a stone's throw from the promenade and the beaches.

I booked this property through Booking, but upon arrival, I decided to change hotels. The room was extremely disappointing: tiny, with a double bed made from the combination of two very low frames and a mattress that sank simply by sitting on it. The bathroom also appeared outdated, and the pool was little more than the size of a bathtub. I expressed my discomfort because from the photographs and reviews, the property seemed to be of a different level. In my opinion, it is absolutely not up to the declared category. I did not receive any refund, which was part of the booking conditions, but I do not regret spending extra to enjoy two days of vacation in a suitable environment. What struck me the most is the gap between reality and the image presented online: I felt strongly misled by the positive reviews. Final note on the reception: the staff was kind, but the reception was managed by a very young man who, while seeming like a nice person, appeared objectively unprepared for the role. The professionalism and customer attention I found here are very far from the hospitality standards I am used to.

We booked a triple room, finding an essential but clean room on the 4th floor (the mattress was fairly comfortable but could be improved). For the rest, the facility is very nice, well renovated, without frills, and in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very varied and of high quality. A special shout-out to the lady in the dining room, attentive and ready for any request. We were off-season, but this hotel has a very good quality/service/price ratio. Recommended, especially for short vacations in Rimini.
