Hotel Alabarda

This hotel is soooo terrible, we saw two cockroaches in our smelly, dirty room. It smelled like sewage in room. Breakfast was really poor, (Only 5 euros, but anyway). For all these reasons we left a day earlier. They have refunded one night. It's cheap, but I do not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed in many simple places around the world from Punta Arenas to the south of Caucasus. However we would not have expected to encounter bed bugs in a modern city in Italy. At 80 euros per night you would expect at least some basic level of cleanliness. My husband suffered the most and in the morning he discovered not just one or two bed bugs but a few dozen under the mattress. We are aware that these things can happen and that the life of insects are difficult to control. However, the lack of interest from the staff was difficult to comprehend. The manager nowhere to be seen and the girl who worked did not really seem to care. Her advice was if it happened the next night, we could get a discount. I have not been trained in hospitality but I am sure there are better ways to solve a situation like this. So unfortunately, my advice is to avoid this place at all costs.

Please bewared that this is only for one night or a contingency plan. Location is not the main problem: breakfast is very poor, building is old and not very well maintained, reception and services jjust don't exist.
