Hotel Borgo del Mare

Absolutely terrible experience, the person who assisted us was Alessandro, very cocky with an arrogant attitude, i called them before our stay to ask for a transfer from the Airport to the hotel, I could not understand a thing they said but then i emailed them the request, I waited 9 hours for a reply which was then already 23:45 the reply was sorry unable to assist your request was to late. No hospitality skills what so ever, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have traveled half the world and in our opinion it IS NOT 4 stars! - the bathroom without a window or ventilation. - the staff is dressed in shorts and beach T-shirts. - in the restaurant you can hear the cooks yelling in the kitchen. - the white wine (refused) that they served me tasted like vinegar. - the pork cutlet that they served me was raw. - the toilet seat is half the size of the bowl so it slides sideways - the shower arm is broken. - the shower door opening is very small, so it is very difficult to get in. - the shower tray is very high, so a disabled person has to make a huge effort to get in and out, and there is no handle. A real nightmare for our first day of vacation.

Stayed here one night after a long flight before catching a cruise the next day! There were no brand name hotels in this port town so booked thru 3rd party! After staying in 5 star resorts, wow what a let down! Rooms were dingy with old bedspreads, curtains that looked like the 60 ‘s? Desperate need of a remodel! Front staff were not friendly at all! And the worst part was location! Although it said steps from the sea, nothing was around except run down looking villas and parking on the street for the local beach goers! No where to eat/drink, except hotel at dinner and one very tiny convenience store! Stay in actual town about 1 1/2 miles away, although the whole town is very run down looking, but st least there are shops and restaurants!
