Villa Maria Luigia

We booked with booking.com and stayed on 27 Dec 2017. But we cannot give comment this day 23/01/18. We love this place. Only the location made us so tired, but the service was so good, lovely place. The facilities were good.

They picked us up on time from the airport, rooms were small but clean. Buffet breakfast was excellent with the option to eat it outside under the peach trees. They took us by minibus to the railway station in the morning and all this for approx £30 pppn. Would use this hotel again if coming in at the same airport into Rome.

I have to say that I didn't travel in 2011 as I've set for this review(but Tripadvisor doesn't give me the chance to choose a specific date) I've spent my summer holiday (in 2007) in Italy together with my wife. I have booked this hotel over the internet. Initially I've made my reservation for the entire period (2 weeks) but after the first week, we've decide to move directly to Rome. The negative things : The villa was far away from our expectations based on what they have presented on their website ! The biggest problem was the room : a very small one, a poor aspect and a horrible bathroom separated by the main room through a plastic door. The shower was basically a pipe which coming up from the wall :( The second problem was the distance from the Frascati (initially we were thinking that this is not a problem, because on their website they were talking about a shuttle bus - but when we arrived there, we found that there are only two races : morning and evening (specific hours) and is not ON DEMAND as they said. So if you won't catch the shuttle bus, you are on your own :( Practically, if you want to spend more time, in the evening, in Frascati or in Rome, you have to think to take a cab also, because the shuttle bus service IS NOT on demand ! The breakfast was very poor, nothing special. The positive things : The staff here are helpful and made a great impression on the entire period of our stay. The courtyard is nice and the villa offers an excellent view over the hills from Frascati. Advices : If you want to stay in Frascati choose a hotel from Frascati and if you wanna visit Roma, forget about this option : is too far away from Rome, and is a poor location, with a lot of disavantages. This hotel is a cheap option for anyone wanting to see Rome, but if you look well on the internet, you can find a hotel in Rome, at the same money, aspect and services, but the biggest advantage is the TIME you win !
