A Casa Di Getta B & B

Casa di Getta is located in a noise free peaceful building first floor no stairs. It is a brisk 15 minutes walk to the heart/center of Rome and train station. Well served by local stores, situated in nice safe area.

I booked it based on good review here but I am not surprised on what we had to deal with. We stayed there in Oct 2018. The location is pretty good. Just 10 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain and the area around it which is nice. I had multiple issues with the property and its staff. 1 ) The shower drain was clogged and the shower itself was loose and broken. I notified the onsite staff. He tried to unclog it with no success and he said that no plumber would come to fix it on Sunday. I am not sure, why they did not fix it prior to our arrival if they knew, they could not find anyone over the weekend! We stayed two nights over there and it was very inconvenience 2 ) The picture on the site is their biggest room. The one, we got had a window facing a back room of the restaurant which was noisy. The window did not have any net and i was dealing with bugs all night. 3) The staff has a number for emergency, which they are not responding to. I asked them to clean the room and I got no response. He told me that they wont clean the room after 10 am at the time of check-out. The other facts that you should know. It might or might not important to you. - You get one key so as a couple, you will have an issue coordinating if you decided to depart for sometime. - It is called B&B and even I knew breakfast is not included, I thought that you have an option to request. This property is super small so they dont even have the space to serve anything. - The staff did not accept the credit card. I had to pay the tourist tax in cash even though they have credit card reader machine there!! - Not a friendly staff in general. (I wont call him here but it starts with D) I will post the real pictures to TripAdvisor to assure, other visitors can make an inform decision when they book. I am surprised by the rating on TripAdvisor..

Stayed here for two nights at the end of August. About 25 mins walk to Trevi Fountain and other tourist attractions. Public transport was just across the street too which took about 10 mins in to central Rome. Not far from Rome Termini train station. Host Nicola was very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again in the future. Såm.
