Alessandro Palace & Bar

Great location close to central train station, rooms were clean and had a lot of space. You could hear a lot of noice from the hallway at night even tough they have silent hours. Staff was friendly and helpful!

ALERT!! Do not go to this hostel as you risk being robbed by the same staff. I deposited a small bag containing my passport and emergency credit cards at reception as advised, since I was told this was the safest and recommended option. I trusted the reception team with these valuables based on that guidance. It was to my surprise when I received a bank alert about a failed transaction at a tobacco shop near the hostel. I immediately went to reception to retrieve my bag, but the two receptionists on duty stated they had no knowledge of it and demonstrated little ability to manage the incident. Instead of assisting, the night receptionist suggested the fault was mine for the missing items. Even though the rooms, price, and location were good, theft means a big red flag for a hostel

I visited Rome for the local food experience and loved my stay here. The location near the station is so convenient. I stayed in the female dorm and felt very safe; both the room and bathrooms were spotless. The highlights were the food nearby—cocktails next door for aperitivo and amazing Roman specialties at StradaRomana restaurant right across the street. I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay to see more historical sites. Highly recommend!
