Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi

This hotel fit our needs well. The room was small, but that is typical of hotels in the area, and this provides a good place to sleep. Maybe a 10-minute walk to the train station, with one subway stop even closer and many busses nearby. In this historic building, rooms are old but clean, and ours had windows opening onto a quiet back street. There is even a church on the third floor! This was our second stay at this property, and we would return again.

A perfect location for a long weekend in the Eternal City. 5-10 minutes walk from Termini and many nice restaurants in the immediate area. The palace, that is, the hotel, which was the residence of an early pope, has its own chapel, beautiful halls and charm. But like most older houses a tad tempered with a certain need for care. Very quiet in the room, a little hard beds, spacious bathroom, and nice view of the beautiful courtyard. Breakfast was a bit limited, with ok anyway.

The Hotel lacked many amenities, but in particular disappointment my room was so small there wasn’t a chair to sit in. Either lie in bed or go somewhere. The neighbor had several homeless people sleeping nearby. The TV was not working well, no where to sit and relax, I was forced to walk around more than I wanted. I didn’t even know there was a chapel in the hotel. No brochures or anything. Just a bad experience.
