Art And Relax Suites

The room was more than okay for a B&B, big and comfy bed for two, little noise till 11 pm and after like 7 am due to the fact that on the opposite side buses & cars pass (but I bet you all who come here are aware of its location so don't complain... compensation comes right at the point you easily reach the main attractions, sculptures, local beauties!). Roam in the city, go to the seaside, live alla romana! All in all, just perfect for

Me and my boyfriend booked this via booking.com to which we thought it sounded fine for the 3 night stay we were having in Rome. Some of the reviews mentioned the area but we thought it would be ok. We were suppose to pay €201 which was more expensive than the first initial booking price. We got a taxi to what we thought were small apartments, what bothered us first was the fact that the taxi driver said he would wait until we got inside. The entrance didn’t look like that of a place holidaymakers would be staying. There wasn’t a clear sign for Art and relax suites it was a small handwritten sticker on a buzzer. The area was full of people drinking in the streets and homeless people. We instantly didn’t want to stay there, but we decided to have a look inside. The suites is on the 5th floor and the lift is extremely small and old, don’t get me wrong the owners seemed lovely and they showed us the rooms but we didn’t want to stay there for a nice weekend away as a couple. We told the owners we were cancelling and they said to do it via booking.com, they took the first nights charge off us which was annoying but I was happy to loose the money. After leaving art and relax suites we walked literally 5 minutes up the road and instantly felt safer. We found a hotel called Dharma which was only €145 more which included breakfast. The contrast between the two was huge and I would definitely say don’t stay here and I have stayed in a lot of places in the world and I feel that the area is not safe and this is hugely over priced for what it is.

We had a great 4 nights stay at the Arts and Relax Suits in May 2018. The proximity of the hotel to Termini central station made it very easy to get there from the airport (Leonardo express train takes about 30 minutes) and it was incredibly easy for us to get anywhere in the city during our stay either by walking or by bus/metro that all stop in front of the Termini station. The rooms were very comfortable, there was plenty of space for two suitcases and the airconditioning made our warm nights much more pleasant. In addition, the beds were great and the bathroom clean. The owners of the hotel are very nice and try to accommodate for your every need. Their English is not great but they try their hardest to make everything clear and with a little help from their daughter everything was fine. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel during our last day so that we did not have to carry them all the way across town.
