What a shame. Arrived at the Monserrato 154 apartment for check in and we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. The location was fantastic as were the condition of the apartment. However, We were then told we had to pay 30 EUROS for a cleaning fee that covered the duration of our stay. This I found unusual but I obliged... BIG MISTAKE! NO CLEAN TOWELS. NO FRESH BEDDING. NO TOILET ROLL REPLENISHMENT. All made worse by a lack of response from the hotel when we tried to contact them via phone & email. Disgraceful and utterly unexceptable to charge additional costs for a service that you are NOT going to provide or have the decency to reply to our attempts to contact you on this issue! Shame on you and I only hope that others don't get conned out of money in the future.

It is located on Vatican side of the river, 20 mins away from it, no tourist around, nice and quiet area by the river. Quite a few local places to eat is around with good food and low notouristic prices. We had room nr 1, it turned to be quite noisy (i could here washing machine in the neighbours apartment and all the noise from the street, as window wasn't closing tight enough). We had a personal bathroom which was on other side of the apartment, so you'd need to dress up to get there anyway. All in all it was good for a price and i still consider to come here again

I have absolutely no complains! The neighborhood was the best ever! It was situated close to everything and to one of my favorite places in Rome 'villa Borghese' and yet it wasn't touristic at all. It was easy to find very good restaurants in the area with absolutely no tourists on it! Laura was very helpful and nice and the room was clean and nice. I can only recommend it.
