The room is good, clean, small, you have to share the kitchen and the dinning room, the location is very good, but.... I booked room with balcony, no balcony. I booked breakfasts and the description and the pictures was from a reach buffet.. Instead, the owner gave us cards from a place near by to have a coffee and a brioche (that's how they call in Italy the croissant). Next morning we went to the place and me that i don't drink coffee, to have a hot chocolate instead i had to pay extra. Then, I realised that those croissants were only sweet and to have a toast since i can't have sweets, i had to pay extra!!! So, later i sent a polite message to the owner saying since i have already paid for breakfast is not right to pay extra to have a hot chocolate and a toast.. The owner became very rude saying (among others) that "we work for live not for your vacation"! At the check out he and his companion were waiting for us, they started screaming and using their fingers they became even rudder with us with no reason! I was completely shocked from this behaviour

It depends what you are looking for in a place. We wanted room for the family (two boys, 13 and 12) and 2 adults. The room was exactly as described. The breakfast was better than expected to be honest, juice, cheese, salami, bread, pastries, yoghurt, hot drinks (see pictures). There were some cereals but the boys never tried them. The room was cleaned daily with clean towels provided. We were able to leave our bags in the kitchen area on the morning of our departure. The place is pretty central, the Colloseum the furthest away and we took an Uber, but it would have been about a 45 minute walk. Vatican was 20 minutes and most of the other central sites were aboutt a 30 minutes walk, but walking is the BEST way to see Rome, you stumble into so much. The room is on the 6th floor and there is an old style 3 person elevator (see picture), if you dont like that and dont like steps you have been warned! On arrival you call them, we had to wait about 5 minutes in the street but we were earlier than we told them we were going to be. There are supermarkets, restaurants and gelato shops on the street and whilst it can at times be loud you are in a busy city centre, what are you expecting? At least you are high up and the sound is muffled! We really enjoyed it and got exactly what we wanted.

Together with my partner we spend five days in Rome, Youbed Extra provided us with an amazing stay! The Vatican is close by, but the Colloseum is about 20 minutes walking distance. We love walking, so we definitely enjoyed it. (You can easily visit the Spanish Steps, Pantheon etc on your way to the Colloseum. See below for some details on this hotel: Walking distances: - Only 10 minutes away from the Vatican & St Peter Basilica - Only 8 minutes away from the Shuttle stop from/to airport (Via Crescenzio 2) - Approx. 20 minutes away from the Colloseum - 5 minutes away from the Tram. We did not use the tram, but it is a great option if walking to the Colloseum is too far out - Many nice breakfast, lunch and diner-restaurants within walking distance The hotel offers a nice and modest breakfast which we definitely enjoyed. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are spacious enough and always tidy and clean. The only downside I could find is that the shower is relatively small. But this is only a minor comment compared to the many, many positive things about this hostel. Very competitvely prices as well. Highly recommended!
