Best Suites Trevi

Got to a very busy Trevi Fountain and was tired from our trip and couldn't find this place, I was frustrated and decided to call them on the phone which was answered by Rena the Manager in charge of this property, right away within 3 minutes she was already in the place giving us directions on how to get there (I was so close but there was so many people gathered in the area that we couldn't see it). Rena was amazing!! She was our angel during our stay, she makes sure we were happy at all times, gave us amenities, booked our ride back to the airport, suggested places, writes every time to see if we needed anything and was always smiling and friendly!! she was a game changer and we loved her! The rooms are comfortable and very spacious and the place is perfectly located to many Rome's principal attractions are reachable walking from it, so it was very convenient! This AMAZINGLY located hotel didn’t quite live up to the mark. While the staff was amazing and very friendly, the rooms have poor air conditioning and almost no water pressure (I hate having to stick to the wall in order to get a few drops of water) The location is brilliant - situated right opposite the trevi fountain in a tiny lane- just shy of all the millions of tourists. With a little repair this could be the ultimate Italian getaway hotel.

We have stayed in some beautiful hotels so did not expect that quality but we certainly did not expect what we found when we got there. The room was filthy with piles of dust along by the bed and under the table. The fridge didn’t work and was dirty. The top mat and the mattress cover were dirty. The wardrobe only had one door and the drawers were falling apart. Some of The hangers were sticky and dirty and couldn’t be used.There was nothing for drinking or putting drinks into. No kettle when we got there and when I asked for one he just shrugged and walked out. It took 3days for them to supply a kettle and the old one that was given had a broken lid and no filter. There were no glasses for drinks and not many of the things they mention in the description of the room. There was no light bulb in the lamp next to the bed and we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned instead of it being cleaned automatically. We were not even left towels one day and had to text as there is no one there except from 9am to 10am for breakfast and room cleaning , There is no check out as there was no one there and we just had to leave our keys on the sideboard outside the room. We were left breakfast in our room and this included used empty pots of jam and no butter ! The bed was uncomfortable as you could feel the springs when you lay down and we were bitten overnight when we were lying between the sheets which were not mosquito bites. The air conditioning unit was so noisy we had to put it off as it kept us awake. We really wish we had gone somewhere else and do not understand the previous reviews that say it was clean and the staff were friendly as we did not find this to be the case. Simona did try to help at times but when I contacted her about the kettle she told me to be patient! We waited 3days !!! We were only there for 6. There is minimal water pressure and the very weak shower goes boiling hot to freezing cold throughout the whole torturous experience The only good thing about this place was the location and the WiFi but I really would suggest going somewhere else as you may not spend a lot of time in the room but you still expect a good standard of cleanliness and comfort.
