I just returned from a six day. Stay at hotel Cambridge in Roma. Everything was perfect. Everybody was so helpful and accommodating, and they even helped me learn a few words in Italian to make the experience better. I highly recommend hotel Cambridge to anyone traveling to Rome and wants to be treated like a part of the family. Thank you to everyone. Neil room 18.

We booked this hotel having met it on Booking and trusted the reviews of that site. Never mistake was greater! The hotel has an entrance shared with another hotel in an old and dated building with a lift. The room is, like the elevator, old and dated (don’t trust the published photos): furniture and bed are old style, to say the least. I confirm that the bathtub is an old jacuzzi tub refitted as a shower with a rim too high to get in and out of. Bathroom light is insufficient, especially if you have to shave. How this hotel can have three stars is a mystery. But let's delve into our bad experience. We booked asking if the hotel accepted small dogs (8 kg) and were told yes. Arrived at the hotel we discover that you can not leave the dog in the room for a few hours because it barks and annoys other customers. Now, having to go to a convention, we insisted that we leave him. We were given this concession but immediately after we are called by the hotel because the dog disturbs. We are asked to return immediately to pick him up by phone and email. We obviously can not and so a dispute arises when we return to the hotel. Now, if you accept dogs you have to think that the dog can stay in the room. And if the rooms are not soundproof, as they are not, you do not have to accept dogs, which is true they can disturb. In short, a nightmare experience that I do not wish on any furry owner. Finally, I confirm that the breakfast is poor but basically we are only in a three star hotel. Please do yourself good: avoid this hotel especially if you have a small pet!

Experience to forget. I love Rome but staying at this hotel ruined my magic. Shabby and depressing. Mouldy smell in nauseating corridor Covered inside the room by perfume. Curtains and hideous bedspreads, I sucked at touching them and avoided doing it. Old and spring mattress. I'm not ruling out pests. I sucked at using the bed even though the sheets looked clean. One pillow only. Rusty fridge that cooled almost nothing. Bathroom with broken sink dispenser. Bathtub old and high from the ground about 60 cm without handle or any support for safety in and out. Unclean looking tackle. I sucked it all up. But especially the bed. Zero comfort. The entrance of the hotel does not announce great things but, entering even worse. Lift no comment. Then access to the corridor after passing a closed door, poor light, corridor with a strong musty smell, finally the room: a real surprise, since from the photos I thought I was going to a different place. If I had known the reality I never would have chosen to spend a single minute of my life there. A real pleasure to escape in the morning and endless sadness to return in the evening. Only one positive side the proximity to Termini station.
