Cancelli Rossi Rome Airport

This is a clean, airy hotel that serves a fabulous buffet breakfast that you can fill up on before you snake your way through the long lines at Funicino to board your flight to wherever. The added benefit is that the hotel is close enough to a quaint seaside town with a great selection of dining al-fresco restaurants. Because this area is near the water, it is always at least 15 degrees cooler than being in the heart of Rome the night before your departure. The only downside to the hotel is that the rooms are small compared to US standards, so you stay out late before you retire for the night.

Great staff, room was simple but accommodating, free WiFi, great shuttle service for a small fee into Rome and the airport. Hotel was further from Rome center than we thought but made the difference when we departed.

This hotel has bus service to/from the airport for a nominal fee. Its location is not great but a small bar from which to buy water and snacks is nearby. Don't plan on taking a walk to nearby locations. There is nothing special nearby. If incoming flights are a bother, this hotel is not for you. It is within a few hundred feet from one of the flight paths. On a positive note, the hotel is relatively inexpensive and very comfortable. I liked the room and the bathroom was more to American standards. The restaurant was convenient and the food was good for normal Roman prices. Breakfast was included in the hotel price and it included a good selection of items. I gave it a four for price, convenience, and general comfort.
