We are looking for rooms to spend a week in Rome with family...we find this apartment with 3 bedrooms and from the photos it looks nice, but the reality is far different. I had mentioned that I had a one year old daughter... but apparently it wasn't important enough to clarify that the house has steps everywhere... every room has a step, even the entrance. The house is really poorly maintained, there is dirt everywhere. There are wads of dirt under the beds and under one of the three beds there is also a used condom... something so squalid that I would be ashamed in their place. There is a coffee maker in the kitchen... but they bring the package of coffee the day before leaving! Shower very dirty, so much so that there were mushrooms between the tiles, roller shutter in terrible condition and bedroom window that struggles to close. In a week we never saw anyone either for cleaning (they didn't even do any before we arrived. So imagine) or for changing towels (despite having been warned about the dirt). For the price paid, at least the cleaning.... I won't add anything else, I'll attach the photos that speak for themselves.

When you see the place, it is nice looking and well located on a main street that is conveniently located close to restaurants and other tourist attractions. This is why they get two stars. The situation greatly changes from good to bad when you lay down on one of the beds. They are made up of two narrow cushions, which are thin, poorly shoved together, and really uncomfortable. They certainly charge enough that you shouldn't have to sleep on these poor excuses for beds. Speaking of charging, apparently his credit card machine is the only charge machine in which my card does not work. The same card worked for me in restaurants, numerous retail stores, and numerous mobile taxi machines. I couldn't help feeling like I was being played to force me having to pay him in cash, which I did. The guy is tech savvy so I don't know if I believe that NONE OF THE Four cards that I tried, including 2 kinds of Master Card, Visa, and Debit card did not work. Also, his was the only rental that wanted to be paid for in person, which furthers to confirm my suspicions that he gamed the situation to force me to pay in cash. He tried to tell me that EVERYONE'S credit cards worked flawlessly, but he couldn't produce the transaction slip to prove it. He did however briefly show me one invoice marked paid, he promptly claimed that it was paid with a credit card, then quickly hid in a drawer again. Fine, I am willing to believe that he may have been concerned about security, but as I said, he couldn't prove the it was actually paid for using a credit card. In short, I don't recommend this place to anyone and I won't go there again.
