Center Accomodation Rome

The place was closed by the police??!!!?? So we were placed at another place, no info, far away from the historical Center. No water in the shower, no light in the bathroom. Horrible info and no understanding from the host. We moved after one night and have not been able too come in contact with the hostages after this!!!!

This bed and breakfast was the worst experience we have had in 40 years of traveling. The facility is in the basement of an apartment building, reached by a door behind the building’s elevator shaft (see photo). There is no accessible exit during the night other than this door and no windows except for one with iron bars in the room to which we were first assigned. This room, the one on the street, smelled intensely of mould (see photo) and worse, most days there was an intense sewer smell. It was obvious there were attempts to cover this up with air freshener, and the bottom of the toilet had been re-sealed. The housekeeper, who was very nice and tried to be helpful, acknowledged that the smell in that room was a consistent problem. The wifi did not work in most of the room. During the day only the housekeeper was present and only until about 14:00. Messages about the horrible smell sent to the management through the housekeeper received no reply at all. When finally a different room became available, one without a sewer odor, and new keys were received, the keys did not work. When locked out of the building on the street, we called for help and were met with a gruff reply from the management asking for identification and whether we were clients, but the housekeeper did arrive 10-15 minutes later with a correct key.

This is an awesome place to stay, not a typical hotel (no 24hr reception, etc) yet awesome service. My flight arrived late in the evening and they arranged someone to welcome us, Mikaela was the best, she was very nice and helped us with anything we asked. Breakfast is good! small sandwich, croissant, juice, coffee, cereal. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, young, old, couples, families. See you soon Rome!
