Ciampino

Arrive here coming from the Ciampino train station in about 15 - 20 minutes, good hotel for those who want an accommodation near the airport, it ensures a transfer for those who want. The day is galley from airplanes but at night it is good, from 23:00 it is quiet, no more take off or land any plane. Near the hotel there is a restaurant and shop within 5 minutes walk. Clean rooms with everything you need.

As an aircraft enthusiast, the hotel was ideal. However, for a quiet hotel I would avoid. The hotel is by the runway at the airport so expect some aircraft noise. A basic hotel but was cheap enough. The staff were helpful with choice of room and were happy to accomodate my wishes. There is no restaurant for evening meals but a couple of eateries nearby. Breakfast was included and was a typical Italian fare. Would I return? certainly.

I do not understand the negative reviews here. For less than 40eu, we have a bed in a clean room, and a delightful pool. And honestly, this has been the best customer service interaction of our entire 7 night stay in Italy. It's not the Ritz, it's a little (only a little dated), It is 10 minutes walk to the train station. I would say its on an equal par in terms of cleanliness and comfort, to the Villa Mercede in Frascati, which cost 5 times the price. (and this place has a nicer pool, and nicer staff). Downside: you can hear the planes taking off. But, its an Airport hotel!! If I find myself back in the Rome/Frascati region, I would absolutely book this hotel again and use as a base for exploring the region, train is 1.20 into rome/frascati.
