Upon arrival, the kitchen was poorly clean and the bed was not done, but the worst was even on the last day when we discovered a condom used under the bed. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable – we were children with us! Numa Stays' "apology" was far, far below the gravity of the situation.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE without a room!
When we arrived at 14.40 at the hotel, we called NUMA to ask if we could enter 20 minutes before we would get the automatic code to enter. The lady we spook was supposed to call us back in 5. Not done and we called again. Then she said the room was not available anymore, due to technical reason. And then the connection was broken. We called again! Say what...we have no room? No, did you not know? No how then? We have send you an email....But we where travelling and did not check our spam. Why was there not a call or why did it not show up in the app? No explanaition needed....just we can offer you another room 30 minutes further...HORRIBLE experience amns be aware that they just cancel your room.
Will never book again with NUMA and this was about NUMA Vici Rome

Ok. It’s a set of apartments in an incredibly old building with paper thin walls. You can hear your neighbours up and side but they do supply ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
The rooms are basic, tastefully and simply decorated but they have a safe, air conditioning/heater, coffee, lots of water, clean glassware and supply soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer etc and the bed and bedding is seriously comfortable. I really had a great two night stay sleep - no lumpy pillows - such a comfy bed.
I travelled with my husband and two children and arrived late. There was a manned reception table and the service throughout the stay was excellent. You are sent the code for the front door and your room before you arrive but we had an in person welcome who showed us where we could find more sheets towels, loo roll and coffee should we need it (we didn’t!)
We stayed on the first floor which I would suggest requesting if you have accessibility requirements as the lift only goes to first and then you climb marble stairs.
You’re in Rome. It’s noisy everywhere including outside the hotel but I slept with the windows open all night without issue and of course the major upside is you are walking distance of EVERYWHERE from this hotel.
Breakfast was in a chic cafe a two minute walk from the hotel - the choice of eggs with salad and cheese and bread or crepe with yoghurt and fruit and coffees and juice was a welcome before we set off on our first excursions.
I’d recommend il Bacaro for dinner - so close to the hotel and absolutely delicious food.
On check out (11am) we spoke to the lady on reception, messaged on WhatsApp to the company to let them know and put our luggage in the coded lockers for the day. We were able to access the hotel and our luggage early evening before our trip home.
There is a table and seating area downstairs which we used while we waited for our taxi.
Our taxi to the hotel was able to drop at the door (very narrow streets!) and the pick up was a 1 minute walk to the top of the street.
All in all, I thought it was a great stay if you want easy access to all the sights and a comfy bed to fall into at night after thousands of steps. It’s not a luxury hotel - it is basic apartments but I think they make the very best of it and I was very happy with our choice and hope you will be too!
