Domus Cornelia B&B

We booked this hotel based on reviews about 5 months prior to arrival on United Vacations. They cancelled our room 1 week before arrival, costing us a big hassle and small fortune to find another hotel last minute. We never stayed their so this review is not on the B&B itself but on their poor handling of our reservation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Domus Cornelia B&B. The entire building was very clean and safe. We enjoyed having breakfast upstairs every morning. There are also several really nice restaurants nearby and the proximity to the park makes it perfect if you like jogging. I had a conference at the Ergife Palace Hotel (which is not on the metro) and the location of this B&B worked out perfectly for us: I could easily walk 15 minutes to the conference and my fiance could easily jump on either a bus or the metro to tour the city. We stayed 5 nights at this place. Everything was wonderful. We stayed in the 5th floor, in the orange room. It was spacious, had a big bathroom and a balcony. Breakfast was good as well. Distance to the metro station is very convenient (less than 5 minutes walking) and there is also a bus stop right around the corner. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and mini markets where you can buy all things you may need. Marcello, the host, is very nice and helped us get a taxi for our early flight. By the way, there is a review saying his English was not very good and this person had a trouble with the taxi because he did not get the right amount when he was explained... the only thing I need to add is: if you use public transportation (like I did) you will realize taxis charge 48 euros for a trip to the airport (FCO) as they have this information written on the doors. Just imagine that from FCO to Roma Termini, I payed 14€ and after that we had to get to the metro in order to get to this place... so, again, I don't think there was a problem with the English here. We had a wonderful time. I truly recommend this place.
