Domus Manlii

We chose this B&B because it was located within walking distance to the Vatican/St Peters Basilica as we had an early entry Vatican tour. It was also very well priced for this great location. Fabrizia met us outside the gate and showed us around, she is very helpful and actually returned again later in the afternoon of our arrival to help us again because we forgot where the B&B was located. It is in a gated community with other apartment buildings. The room is clean, with private bathroom but not fancy so don't expect 5* amenities but really absolutely perfect for our one night stay. Fabrizia also let us store our luggage until 12 noon when we returned for our transfer to the port for our cruise. Lots of excellent cafes and restaurants close by, try I Quatro Mori just down the street. Extensive at E40 per person, but you get a feast!! including wine and after dinner liquors. There is also a Carefour just close by too... just google the location. We bought a few things and bread for lunch. They also have some great wine at extremely cheap prices. The included breakfast was not to our liking so we just skipped that bit and had a substantial breakfast at a café down the road for E12 for two. We visited Rome in May this year and stayed at the Domus Manlii B&B near the San Pietro train station. The B&B is located in a lovely old apartment over-looking the picturesque Piazza di Santa Maria Alle Fornaci. It is within walking distance of the Vatican, we had a view of the dome of St. peter's from our window, and the city centre. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafe's near by as-well as ATM machines and shops. We were met on arrival by the fabulous Fabrizia, who gave us heaps of advice on how to get around, things to do and how to stay safe. Our room was comfortable and spotless clean, provided with a street map and electrical adapter. The Domus Manlii is perfect for anyone looking for good quality, mid-range accommodation. I would definitely recommend.

We loved staying here at a great location just 5 minutes from the Vatican City and 20 minutes walk to the City Centre. The Coliseum is a pleasant 30 minutes walk through old Rome. Great value for money in a nice clean apartment
