Donna Laura Palace

A very basic old hotel. It has character to be sure, but needs modernization. The showers leak so much that the floor floods each time. That was a universal complaint among hotel guests. Not the biggest issue but that’s why it’s 3 stars.

I booked the junior suite on the fifth floor, so we could be comfortable as three. The room actually has everything, maybe just a lack of mirrors in the room (only one inside the closet). The windowed bathroom with double sink is also very nice. BUT, I would have preferred if there were no cobwebs at the edges of the baseboards. Also, the line of ants coming out from the baseboard was not pleasant (they got into the shoes). The bathtub does not drain well. The breakfast was very good, not surprising but ultimately balanced and very varied.

Donna Laura Palace hotel is really an amazing beautiful boutique hotel. We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel last month. The hotel is located in the Prati district which is a very quiet neighbourhood, a few minutes away from all the major attractions. To get to the hotel from Fiumicino Airport we took the Leonardo Express train to Termini Station for €14. From Termini Station we had to take Metro Line A towards the direction of Battistini and got off at Lepanto. From Lepanto Station the hotel is about 10 minutes walk. By taxi from the airport you'll pay €55, and by coach shuttle bus to Termini Station you will pay about €10. From Termini Station there are also buses you can hop on to Lepanto, for example, 590, 30, 19, 87, 301. Hotel staff are absolutely amazing and very professional. They always make you feel at home. Our hotel room was very spacious, very clean, with beautiful decor and a comfy bed. My best highlight in the morning was their amazing and lovely breakfast. You get an absolute variety. You will be truly satisfied. Their restaurant also serves amazing ala carte meals. The hotel has lovely conference rooms, a Wellness area with sauna and jacuzzi. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone, families, business travellers, solos. I would like to say thank you to all their staff who were very exceptional and made us feel at home. We cannot wait to visit you again.
