Federico Suite

The friendly owner came to the apartment and met us in the evening after we had called his mobile phone. There was no reception at the B&B. He showed us to the apartment, gave us keys and answered to all our questions. The actual reception is a block away in another B&B (possibly from same owner it seemed), where we had to go the morning after to pay our city tax and get a city map from the nice lady in reception. Room & apartment: The room was clean and comfortable, big and clean bathroom. Was also nicely decorated and it seemed like the apartment was renovated not so long ago. It got a bit hot occasionnally, but we kept window open since it was May. Kitchen was clean and some utensils in it for preparing simple snacks. There were a big fridge where you could store also your own things, and it also had some milk for the breakfast available. Breakfast: We could do our own simple breakfast from the things provided, toast, jam, cornflakes, crackers, coffee, but unfortunately the breakfast wasn't stocked up so after 3 days we ran out of breakfast supplies that were to share with other rooms. We had bought our own fresh things with from the local supermarket, so didn't feel like calling the owner and asking for more. Location: the place is located just few blocks away from Termini train station and close to airport bus stop (we used Terravision), so early start is no problem if you have an early morning flight to catch. I would have easily given 4 (or even 5 stars if the breakfast didn't run out), but unfortunately there was one extremely annoying thing about this place that drops my rating down a bit. It is, that many very late night arriving tourists had booked to the owners other location (or somewhere else completely??) but had some way been given Federico B&B's address. Then different groups arrived in the middle of the night ringing the door bell and asking for their room, even the place was full and people in all rooms. There was no staff here, it was just an apartment with 3 b&b rooms! So we and the couple in the next room woke up several times during the nights there when the door bell was ringing and people were trying to get it. Together with the other guests we eventually had to pull out the cord from door bell to stop it constantly ringing and disturbing our attempts to sleep.... it was fine, until some people started banging the apartment door!! Two travellers had some way gotten in, in the hall way anyway and climbed with their suitcases to our floor and to the door of the apartment. They kept shouting and banging the door until couple of men staying in the B&B had to open and ask what was going on. We were little scared I have to say! Other guests had started to peek between their doors as well. The travellers at the door tried to force their way inside and kept saying they had room reserved and didn't listen to us when we said it was full and they should call the owner instead. What a nightmare! Eventually they believed us and left the building, but this episode after midnight really put our feelings down and made us questions the security of the building. However, if this door bell problem will be or is fixed by now, I don't see no reason why not to stay there. It's nice and clean, good location and friendly owner.

Very sattisfied with the room, very comfortable and clean. The most convenient location right next to Termini station where you can reach every spot by all means of transport, even short walking dictance to Colosseum and other attractions. Would go back again

Federico met us at the first day and showed us on the map "must see places" and answered to all our questions. Room was clean, there were all amenities. We had a breakfast every day and everything was wonderful. Definitely I am recommending stay in B&B Federico. Thanks a lot!
