Fortyseven Hotel

We originally booked Hotel 47 in Rome for only three days. We ended up staying almost 12 days, under circumstances we could never have expected. During our trip, our family was hit one after another by a terrible stomach virus. First one of our children became sick, so we postponed our departure. Just when we thought we could leave, another member of the family became sick. Then another, then our babysitter, and eventually me. Every time we thought, “Tomorrow we can finally leave,” we had to change our plans again. This is when you really discover what hospitality means. The entire team at Hotel 47 was extraordinary. They understood what our family was going through and did everything possible to make an extremely difficult situation easier. They helped us extend our stay day by day, worked around the changing circumstances, and organized everything so we would not have to unnecessarily move rooms while people were sick. They treated us with patience, kindness, discretion and genuine concern. When you travel, especially internationally and with children, you normally choose a hotel thinking about the location, the rooms, the breakfast, the food and the service. You don’t necessarily think about what happens when something goes wrong and you suddenly need help far away from home. That is where Hotel 47 truly impressed me. Of course, the hotel itself is wonderful. The location is excellent, the breakfast and food were great, the service was excellent, and the entire property was comfortable and beautifully maintained. But what I will remember most is the people. For almost 12 days, they made a very stressful situation feel manageable. We never felt like an inconvenience, even though practically every day we were changing our departure because someone else had become sick. My husband has spent most of his life in the hospitality business, and I know that true hospitality is not only about providing great service when everything is going perfectly. You really understand the quality of a hotel when things go wrong and you see how they treat you. Hotel 47 showed us exactly that. I would give them more than five stars if I could. Thank you to the entire team for taking such wonderful care of my family during a very difficult and unexpected part of our trip. We arrived as hotel guests, but we left feeling that we had been genuinely looked after. Grazie di cuore, Hotel 47. We will never forget your kindness.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very clean and stocked with all we needed during our stay. Breakfast is very good and the Italian coffee is 100%. We dined at their rooftop bar and they views are excellent.
