From the outset, communication was unreliable. Booking confirmations, airport pickup arrangements, and return transfer details were repeatedly delayed or left unanswered. This created unnecessary stress before and throughout the stay.
Once at the property, we encountered maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guest arrival. The modem was not functioning properly, the television was not connected correctly, and other equipment required attention. Valuable vacation time was lost trying to resolve matters that should have been routine pre-arrival checks.
The property manager was frequently unavailable, slow to respond, and ineffective when assistance was required. Several questions were ignored altogether, and we eventually had to seek support through Booking.com.
We also found inconsistencies between the online listing and the information provided inside the apartment. The promotional photographs appeared to represent multiple properties rather than clearly showing the exact apartment booked.
The only positive aspect was the helpfulness of on-site staff members, who assisted us with basic supplies when needed.
Given the high cost of the accommodation, we expected professional management and responsive customer service. Unfortunately, neither was delivered. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this property.

I can’t really tell you a lot about Gambero apartments since we never got to see the room we booked. Despite a valid reservation (according to Booking) once we arrived in Rome and in front of the apartment, "the lady" who was in charge of the check-in told us she had rented our room to someone else. You can imagine our shock of being in front of the door and finding out we have no place to sleep, even though we had reserved AND PAYED FOR 15 days ahead.
Luckily, we were able to contact Booking and 3 h later, we checked in a completely different apartment. I must say Gmbero staff is 0. She just kept repeating, "no room, you need to leave". She even told us she canceled our reservation because of the low price, and she rented it to someone else for more money. The worst was when she literally said "you are not my clients and not my problem". Truly discussing!

First time in Rome and these apartments are in a great location, close to where it’s all happening.
All the main fashion brands are on your doorstep, as are the tourist sites including ‘Spanish steps’ and ‘Trevi fountain’.
The apartment is air-conditioned, very clean, spacious and nicely laid out with good quality furniture and fixtures.
We had a kitchen, spacious lounge, bathroom and good sized bedroom, with a comfortable bed.
I would definitely use these apartments again, especially since the quality of hotels in Rome are dubious from what I have seen, and these apartments offer a very good standard alternative.
The steps and lift are a little awkward if you have a baby but it’s manageable.
The apartments are in the ‘ztl’ zone and you are not therefore allowed to drive inside this zone.
So if you’re planning on getting a hire car then you will have to park outside the ztl zone and make your way in on foot or public transport.
All major tourist sights are within waking distance.
