Hotel Marghera

The hotel is basic and clean. The bar was not operational so we had to go out for dinner. No laundry service. The bathrooms were old and small. There is a small shop and restaurant up the road. The breakfast was great. Lots of food and great service.

At the advice of friends, we booked on an internet booking site but when we got there there was no active hotel although we did see green awnings with the hotels name. We asked at four hotels next to where Marghera was supposed to be and were told that it had closed. My advice is dont even think about trying to stay here.

I personally stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel and I found myself very well. The hotel is not closed, has fewer rooms and the entrance is now from next door, not from the main entrance. I asked the owner why they changed and they told me that many of the rooms were taken for rent, but some of the owners wanted their property back. However I was satisfied because the rooms were very clean, and the breakfast in the room was offered for free. My room had a balcony with a nice overview of the palaces around and in the evening I enjoyed stay in the room with the window open contemplating the beauty of Rome. The staff was always available has shown always polite and careful to our every need.
