Il Gattopardo Relais Hotel

Horrible experience, first when we arrived we couldn't gain access to the property. We knocked for about half an hour until a guest let us in and we told them the room we were in, they said they had only left that room so there was no way it had been cleaned. Then the room wasn't a twin double like we had booked, it was a double that hadn't been cleaned! We then had to wait 2 hours for someone to come who then couldn't speak english so hard to communicate. We were shown another room that was a twin but it had a horrible musty smell. The woman then phoned Antoinette who owns the place. She told us if we weren't happy then to leave and we wouldn't be charged. We left and booked somewhere else to stay. Then to my horror a few days later I checked my bank and I had been charged the full amount. I left a negative review on booking.com to warn people and Antoinette rang me and asked me to remove the review and she would give a full refund. I removed the review and received no refund and I have been unable to get back in contact with Antoinette. The last time I spoke to her she pretended she couldn't really speak English yet she could speak it fine when she was requesting I remove my negative review. When I try ring her about this she just hangs up the phone. It really soured our trip to Rome

The place is nice, clean. The staff available despite little presence for some information. We had a great time. You can hear the sounds of other guests in moments of silence. Great location, very close to the metro super convenient.

poor bed. have backache now for 3 days. couldn't sleep all the vocation. very poor wifi. for he first 2 days it didn't work. after that was poor internet wifi. the breakfast was so so. the croissant came cold and she said she cant make it hot. no service people at the reception all day a lot of manipulating water noise from other rooms. in the last day we checked out and wanted to travel outside for the rest of our vocation but we have been told that we cant lock our luggage in the hotel, so we put it like that in the reception and pray that nobody will steal something. As a result, i wont recommend this place at all.
