Independence Square Inn

Great location, very clean place and very helpful host to meet needs. Many rooms have been renovated and are quiet without the presence of noise. Great value for money. When I come to Rome I always stay here also for the proximity of metro A and B and Station

We stayed here booking through Hostel World. I paid a deposit initially when booking. When we arrived at the hotel, they charged me the full amount without me realising (an extra 100 euros). When I emailed them to query it, they were very apologetic and said they would leave the money in my room (cash). They only left 40 euro. When I emailed them to question it further, I had no further response. I have emailed them again since leaving and heard no response as yet. It is not a hostel in any sense of the word. There is no common area besides a small room that operates as an office / reception during the day. If you are looking to stay here as a "hostel" - do not come. The wifi signal doesn't reach the rooms. We had to sit at the door to get 1 bar of signal. The shower is extremely small - as a 5"3, small woman I barely had any room to move around. The shower water takes time to heat up. One of the days the hot water didn't work at all. We had to wait 4 hours for the Reception to come in (they're supposed to be there at 9am, they came at 10:30am) for them to fix it. The doors to the rooms are quite flimsy and could easily be forcefully opened so I would lock all valuables in your suitcase. The bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together. The towels always smelled a little off. The only positives for my experience personally was that the rooms were cleaned daily, there was a hair dryer available for use and the location was great. Despite these positives and due to my experience and being significantly overcharged, I would not recommend this hotel / "hostel" to anyone.

It is good place to visit. In the evening upto 11.00 P.M.musical fountain are worth seeing .The square is surrounded by beautiful buildings, hotels restaurants markets etc.On holidays no traffic runs on main road so u can enjoy a lot.
