Our stay here was ok... The hotel was located in the centre of Rome, very close to the Spanish Steps and other attractions. However, it was very hard to find due to it not having a sign. There was not a reception, however the owner greeted us when we finally got inside! The corridoor was dark with bin bags placed at either side. The stairs were dark and creepy. The air conditioning unit in the room leaked into a mixing bowl which had to be emptied each day. The toilet and shower fell apart, yet looked nice, all modern and very clean. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The kitchen area was perfect for our stay here. Room had good lighting and a nice view onto the street below. Overall, it was good for the money we paid! There are just a few minor things to be improved (lighting down the stair case, bins in the corridor, fixing the bathroom facilities, fixing the air conditioning unit and making the hotel visible from the outside). We would stay here again for a short stay.

I'll TRY keep this short and sweet and as helpful as possible, firstly the pictures are NOTHING like the actual apartment. 👀The pictures you're looking at are from 2014. And the great reviews are from years ago to. I'll start by saying not suitable for kids / wheelchair or elderly as you've to go up 5 flights of stairs some steps are steep. (No elevator) also the communication with owner/host is dreadful. You've more of a chance connecting with a Martian then these. 👽💯 I'm low maintenance abroad I do be happy with a roof over my head and a hot shower at night & I'm delighted. 💯 BUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS PLACE didn't even deliver to the lowest of standards.. 😤 Bucket under the Air con. Filthy bathroom. Filthy walls. Beside the shower theirs a glass full of dirt and toothbrushes people have left behind. 😷 They've a tv which doesn't work. It knocks on for 5 minutes and disconnects saying 'Poor connection'! At first it didn't turn on at all cause the wire doesn't stay in the back. And I noticed not one English Channel. ☹️ Remote battery's need replacing. Can't keep the window open at night cause the street is loud and the room can get stuffy. I flushed the toilet and the flusher button flew off. 😤 All the plug lights are loose. The curtains are also broke so they can't close properly. I never give out about a shower I just do be happy it works.... but the thing they call a shower is water sprayed out of a wall. (See pictures) It's actually broken. The knobs are all broken. Wifi is extremely poor you've to stand near the front door for connection.😶 There is no 'do not disturb signs' so we got woken up early by Bryan knocking on at door to clean the room. (We had to make our own door sign) NEGLECT AT ITS FINEST This apartment needs a huge revamp. Or be demolished. The week we where flying out we contacted the owner for directions and how to get to the apartment, and heard NOTHING! 👊🏻On the day we emailed the time we will be there at, and still heard nothing back. The host Bryan showed up an hour late I found his manner extremely rude and careless, after getting up at 4am for an early flight, travelling to Rome and trying to find the apartment all by ourselves by connecting to any free wifi we could find we where pretty tired and Bryan had no explanation, no apology for showing up late which annoyed me. He genuinely didn't give a damn! We explained to him we where waiting a long time and he brushed past the comment, I explained again it wasn't very fair that we where left waiting as we have emailed non stop and his response was "Well I'm not aware of any emails and check in is after 1" ... he showed up at 2pm? He was the one late! His manner and behaviour was disgusting, his main issue was the payment! We did not pay straight away and I'm delighted we didn't. We contacted booking.com and forwarded on all pictures of the room and standards we where staying in and they got in touch with the owner and demanded we get a discount price! When Bryan showed up we explained the situation and he seemed careless and just knocked off €30, we showed him the shower, the dirt and how everything's falling apart and the apartment is nothing like the pictures and that booking.com has been informed about everything... the tunes then changed on his half and the priced was knocked then from €30 to a bigger amount (a nightly stay amount). So for that I'm really glad we didn't pay upfront otherwise we would have lost a lot of money by staying in an overpriced hostel. And dealing with someone who didn't care in the first place we wouldn't have stood a chance of getting €1 back never mind a huge chunk. Yea the location is good but everywhere is central to all the top spots and the metros are great and will bring you everywhere you need to go. I would not recommend staying here at all. It's not worth the hassle or the stress. So please trust the reviews you read. I seen people sleeping in the streets living in better condition!

The location of the apartment is excellent, within walking distance to all the main attractions and Spagna metro station. Sadly, we were very disappointed with the apartment we were given. The photos on the website show a bright, airy apartment - but the one we had (next door), was dark and dingey even with all the lights on (which need to be on even during the day!) The decor is awful (red paint in a really bad finish), with bits of plaster missing and things falling off the walls. The kitchen is basic to say the least, poorly set out with a tap which isn't even connected to the surface. The air con is insufficient for the apartment, and the flooring is not parquet (as in the photos), but creaky cheap laminate that doesn't fit properly. On the plus side, the contact for the apartment was very pleasant and helpful, and the bedding and towels were changed once during our 4 night stay. The apartment was generally clean (especially the bedding), but the bathroom needs a jolly good scrub! Had we been given the apartment that we saw in the photos, and which we saw when we paid our bill at the end of our stay, we would have been very pleased. But, sadly this wasn't the case and we were left very disappointed with the poor quality of apartment we were given instead. Be very careful when you book that you will get what they advertise...we didn't!
