Mediterraneo Rome

I stayed in this hotel one day before taking a cruise in Civitavecchia. I liked it so much that I also booked for the day after my departure from the cruise. The hotel is very good, although old, the rooms are renovated and with very good space! Large bathroom with wonderful amenities! The location is good, especially if you need to stay close to Termini. Near the hotel there are numerous options for good restaurants. Breakfast is medium. But for my family, the strongest point of the hotel is the cordiality and goodwill of all staff!! All right! We dealt with different staff at the check-in and the guard volumes where we left our bags after check-out and all of them, without excess, were very friendly, giving us tips, booking transfers for us and even striving to speak Portuguese! We will definitely stay here whenever we have any reason to go to Rome.

I was a guest from June 13 to June 14, 2026. During check-out on the morning of June 14, my backpack was stolen in the hotel lobby containing a laptop, cash, and other personal items. The total damage amounts to approximately USD 10,000. What happened next I consider equally serious: 1. I requested the footage from the security cameras. The staff reported that the system was not functioning. The hotel lobby did not have active surveillance. 2. I requested police assistance. The police did not come to the scene of the theft. 3. The hotel did not offer any type of assistance, guidance, or formal record of the incident. I currently have an active civil claim against the establishment. I report this so that other travelers can make an informed decision about their safety in this hotel. Safety rating: 1/5.

A hotel that shows its age in the furnishings, but is very well maintained and quite comfortable. Excellent location, very kind staff, spacious and comfortable room, adequate breakfast. The price is high, but in line with those practiced in Rome.
