The hotel’s concierge, Michele, was extremely helpful in resolving my problem posting a letter. I had been to a post office and two other shops (which were supposed to sell stamps, but didn’t). I spoke to Michele and explained this and he said he would handle it. He personally found a post office, paid the postage and sent it. He then took a photo of the letter as a receipt and gave me change from the money I’d given him for this purpose. Michele went above my expectations in assisting me in this task! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism.

Lovely hotel! Staff is wonderful

Our stay began with a frustrating check-in experience. We arrived about 90 minutes before check-in and were told by Giuseppe that our room was not ready. He asked us to wait in the lobby bar and said someone would let us know when it became available. After waiting until nearly an hour past the scheduled check-in time, we returned to the front desk. The staff seemed surprised because our room had apparently been ready for some time, but no one contacted us. The room was also not the Junior Suite we expected based on the booking and the hotel’s website. It was much smaller and had a tiny desk placed in the hallway. When we raised the issue, the front desk claimed the hotel had two types of Junior Suites. We later reviewed the hotel’s website and found nothing supporting this explanation. The bathroom was extremely small and had no counter space for toiletries or personal items. There was also visible mold on the shower ceiling, and the shower leaked water across the bathroom floor. We reported these issues but were told the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. Giuseppe was rude, dismissive, and offered little help. The location was also inconvenient for visiting many of Rome’s major attractions, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and other popular tourist areas. We often needed taxis to get around, and the fares added up quickly. The hotel may look appealing online, but the poor service, room condition, misleading room description, and inconvenient location made this a very disappointing stay. The experience created a terrible start to our vacation, and we would not stay here again.
