Nobilcasa Suites

Terrible. They canceled our booking on booking.com a couple of days before our trip and they said it’s because of personal reasons. How unprofessional. And when I called they literally disconnected the phone. Pathetic. I can see the room is available for those dates so go figure. I don’t know these people but they shouldn’t be running any sort of business.

I must say that my stay at Nobilcasa Suites was pretty average for the most part and there were many things that stood out about the venue in both a positive and negative way. The most positive thing that I can say about my stay was that the room was large but then again we opted for the family suite which is meant for 6-8 people and there were only two of us. The other positive thing was that it was close to the heart of Rome; only a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and one of the best Gelateria’s in all of the Rome area (Cremilla). Our room had a mini fridge, and ac, however besides these two factors our stay was average. They also helped return a lost personal item of mine that was in the hallway, however I don't know of any lodging that wouldn't do this as it seems like the bare minimum to me. Some things I can overlook like the fact that they don’t have any amenities such as safety pins, floss etc.,. However, when I injured myself they didn’t even have a bandaid (and here I thought that every business had to have a first aid kit). I asked the front desk agent if he had a bandaid and he looked at me like he was confused and said no. There were also the little things like the chandelier in our room gaveling one blown out lightbulb for our entire stay, and the housekeeping associate not changing our bedsheets on our second to last day. I understand that Europe may have different rules and regulations from changing the bedding, however I'm accustomed to my sheets being changed every day regardless of how "messy" a guest is. All of these things I can forgive, however I can’t understand how they only have one iron and one iron board for the entire venue. We literally had to ask for an iron and its accompanying board on our first day, then a day later someone knocked in our door to ask for it back and told us they we could get it back the next day. Of course the next day we asked for it again and then a few days later guess what happened…the same things. I know of no venue that asks guests to return an iron and board during their stay, and I refuse to believe that this is common practice in Europe. I refuse to believe that irons are now $1,000 even if we are in Rome. If nothing else then they need to fix this. Another issue that I had was that when they offered their shuttle service was that it would be a taxi. I also didn’t like that they didn’t tell me that we would need to pay the taxi with cash; what if we don’t have any euros on us. At every hotel I’ve been at they’ve taken the shuttle service charge from the credit card that was used to book the venue.

Negative: More cleaning at room. Ground floor rooms. Positive: The bathroom was fine. The price was good in the minibar (1 eur mineral water,beer 1,50 eur,caffe 1 eur ,free tea) The room is modern . Free air conditioner. Helpful owner. Double bad was extra comfortable. Close to Vatican.( 15 min. walks)
