One Park Hotel

Would defo not recommend this hotel it's in the middle of no where in ciampino and on the back roads were there's no footpath to walk to get places the buses and tram take half hour to get to Rome centre hotel was not very clean and rooms were very smelly and dull also no lift there was no breakfast in the morning and me and my cousin were starving all they had was bread which was steal and flys around the ham and cheese the hotel restaurant was closed down also there is no bar in the place and the pool was very dirty the air con in room was no good yand blankets like cardboard could not sleep was awful and the drain clogged up which was disgusting cus they did not clean it a lot of false advertising the worst hotel I ever stayed in

This place is a nightmare. I arrived at midnight having flown into Ciampino airport. It's only 5 minutes from the airport, but not the easiest to find. Google maps takes you to the rear entrance (which is unmarked) and once you find the front of the hotel it is on the opposite side of a dual carriageway when driving from the airport and still easy to drive past it as the signage is almost non-existant. I stayed two days and there was never any hot water for shower or sink, restaurant on site was closed and so nearest place to eat was 500m away down a dodgy backstreet that was not the nicest place to walk at night. Heating in room did not work and it was very cold. I would assume that aircon in the summer would probably not work either! Breakfast was a joke; no tea, no cappuccino available, just espresso! No bread, no yogurt, no fruit, no fruit juices, no butter, no cereal, no milk, basically the worst breakfast I have ever seen in any hotel, anywhere in the world. It was awful!

The earlier reviews are true in every respect. I will start with the only positives - the pool upkeep seemed fine, and the continental breakfast was acceptable. But its downhill from there... The location leaves a lot to be desired, unless you happen to be drawn to run down surroundings and constant noise from the nearby airport. As you enter the hotel, you are greeted by decor that makes your three star experience seem worth its while but don't let it fool you! Only feet away lies your room, with a color theme ranging from piercing vibrant green to strange bright blue that isn't too easy on the eyes. Yet, pay no mind to the color because that is the least of your problems because the rooms themselves have more issues than you could count. But why avoid the fun, let me count them out right now... 1. Upon shifting our beds we stumbled upon a HUB of beetles (I have no idea what to call a group of beetles this size) that scurried out from beneath us, into every corner of the room. 2. Our "lamps" were essentially two glass strewn on top of each other and lets not even discuss the outlet placement in this hotel! With only 3 outlets found and two of them found halfway to the ceiling they were impossible to use. 3. On to the bathroom, which seems fine until you enter the shower. Unfortunately the rod holding the curtain is unattached meaning you should expect getting a slight beating every-time you shower. 4. As for the staff I am completely blown away at how rude certain employees for this hotel can be. After having to constantly head up to the front desk to ask for assistance with our broken air conditioner we received eye roll after eye roll by rude employees and finally had to ask for the manager who was kind enough too help. On top of that, a certain employee made rude, careless comments such as "It isn't Antartica is it?" 5.The room did not have a safe - and it really needs one. The TV also did not have a remote control. 6. Yes - it is "near" to the centre of Rome; but so are so many other reasonable hotels - they can't all be this bad. Seriously, do not do it; there are prisons that are luxurious by One Park Hotels standards. And before you ask yourself, "can it really be that bad?" Trust me, yes it can.
